Implants

Advanced Procedures

Bone Grafts

During surgery if there is inadequate amount of bone available for the implant, bone grafts are used.

Sinus Lift Procedure

This is usually done when placing implants in the upper jaw (for the back teeth). It is done when the patient's sinuses are too close to the surgery site and less space is available to place the implants.

Bone Expansion

The technique is used to widen the bone width when the ridge is too thin to accommodate the dental implants.

In this procedure, the bony ridge of the jaw is expanded mechanically using bone expansion tools. This may be done at the same time the implants are placed or sometimes as a separate procedure. If it is done in two stages, one needs to wait for sometime for healing to take place.
