Wisdom Tooth Extraction

Consult Us if your tooth has:
  1. You require tooth removal
  2. You require wisdom tooth removal
  3. You have pain or jaw stiffness around the tooth
  4. You have swelling, abscess or pus drainage
  5. You need to stabilize loose teeth after trauma

If YES to the above, you could have a CAVITY

Tooth Removal

    This maybe required in the following situations:

  1. If there is severe tooth decay making it non-restorable
  2. If the tooth is abscessed or has pus drainage
  3. If the tooth becomes loose due to severe bone loss
  4. If the tooth is fractured
  5. If it an extra tooth and prevents the other teeth from erupting
  6. If removal is required for orthodontic treatment
  7. If the patient is receiving radiation therapy of the head and neck

Wisdom Tooth Removal



This maybe required in the following situations:

  1. If it comes out crooked or in the wrong direction
  2. If it becomes impacted and unable to break through the gums
  3. If it causes crowding of the other teeth
  4. If a deep cavity develops into it

Splinting

If one or more teeth become loose they can be joined to the surrounding stable teeth. Splinting of the teeth enables the distribution of chewing forces from a mobile tooth to a healthy tooth.

Surgical Procedures

  1. Treatment of swelling and abscesses
  2. Ridge (jaw) augmentation
  3. Reduction of jaw fractures
  4. Cyst removal
  5. Bone grafts

Care after Minor Surgery

This maybe required in the following situations:

  1. Bite on the gauze for one hour and do not spit
  2. Do not change the gauze before one hour or unless absolutely soaked
  3. Cold compression from outside
  4. Soft diet
  5. Cold foodstuff help like ice-cream, juices etc.
  6. Avoid the use of a straw
  7. The next day start with warm saline gargles
  8. Avoid alcohol and smoking
  9. Follow the prescription given
